Kathmandu: The realty sector may be going through a slowdown, but this has not stopped housing developers from launching new projects.
Green Hill City Private Limited recently launched the country’s largest housing project—Green Hill City—in Mulpani, Kathmandu.
According to the company, 800 housing units on 312 ropanis of land will be constructed in the Green Hill City. The project to be developed in five phases will see the construction of 229 homes in the first phase. The company has priced the houses at Rs 5.4 million onwards.
Green Hill Managing Director Bhesh Raj Lohani said the project was the outcome of five years of homework. “We have paid high attention—from developing the land to constructing roads to every house,” said Lohani.
The company has offered 7.5 percent discount for those who make full payment and 2.5 percent discount for those paying in installments. It has also offered installment facilities for a maximum period of 18 years for those buying homes through bank financing.
The Green Hill City features earthquake resistant buildings and facilities like car porch, round the clock CCTV surveillance, four-lane entry road, Montessori school, drainage system, drinking water, solar lighting system, among others. “As a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we have built four-lane road and have even constructed a bridge,” said Lohani. The company has invested Rs 60 million for this.
