Nepal Chartered Accountants Organisation (NCAO) has given away the Best Presented Accounts Award 2009 to 11 institutions in a programme organised in the Capital on Friday.
Nabil Bank received the first prize, Global Bank bagged the second prize, and Everest Bank stood third, in the banking category.
In the non-banking category, Annapurna Finance Company Ltd. stood first, Ace Development Bank stood second and United Finance stood third.
Among insurance companies, Everest Insurance Company Ltd. was awarded the first prize, Prudential Insurance Company Ltd. was awarded the second whereas Nepal Insurance Company Ltd. received the third prize.
In the production sector, Butwal Power Ltd. stood first and Uniliver Nepal Ltd. bagged the second prize.
Oriental Hotels Ltd. received the award in hospitality, health, and transport sector, whereas Karja Suchana Kendra Ltd. stood first in public sector.
The evaluation was done based on the standards set by the South Asian Federation of Accountants to choose the best-maintained accounts.
Also in the programme, Sunir Kumar Dhungel was elected as the chairman of NCAO for the 14th time. Likewise, Sudarshan Raj Pandey was elected as the vice chairman of the association.
