Complex Developer Leasers Association claimed that it has been helping the nation in revenue generation and evolution of New Nepal.

“We are working for the development of modern trading complexes in Nepal that is contributing to the national coffer,” said the association’s chairman Sukuntalal Hirachan at the second annual general meeting (AGM) of Complex Developer Leasers Association here in the valley. He also highlighted the role of the association in the success of Nepal Tourism Year 2011. “The modern trade centres can be attractions for tourists as they can get whatever they want in one place,” he said, adding that the fact that Nepal should be developed as an international trading hub. “Development of the tourism sector is a must for economic development of the nation but Nepal could not cash in on the tourism sector due to a lack of modern commercial complexes,” Hirachan said. “We are developing modern complexes to attract more tourists,” he said. “But we are still taken as mere houses owners,” he complained, adding that the government should give the industry legal recognition and provide with all the facilities that other business houses are getting.
