Norwegian Embassy, in cooperation with the Institute of Engineering, Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tribhuvan University organised a Contemporary Norwegian Architecture exhibition, Wednesday.
A total of 50 fifty building designs are on display at the exhibition which has been thematically is divided into the following five categories: Transformation, form and function, Symbol and identity, Materials and construction and contrast and proximity. According to the organizers the buildings on display were selected by a highly qualified jury as the best examples of Norwegian architecture from the period 2000-2005. While talking about the exhibition and its nature Durga Prasad Sangraula, Campus Chief for Pulchowk Enginnering Campus stated that today it has become a necessity to design buildings that are environmentally friendly.
The two week long exhibition that gives a fascinating overview on new architectural solutions,stylistic developments and changing building tasks will come to an end on 7th June.
