With the theme `Expression through the Fourth Dimension', the 13th Association of Students of Architecture (ASA) exhibition successfully took place at the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Engineering Campus on October 1, 2 and 3.The exhibition formally started after Dean of IOE Dr Bharat Raj Pahari inaugurated the ceremony. Different events were showcased in the event after the inauguration of ceremony.
At the exhibition students presented the timeline of development of architecture from pre-historic to modern period. The students also presented their research papers, projects, thesis, conservation studio, photographs, design and artworks at the exhibition.
The students displayed models of pre-historic and modern architectural works together with providing information on art movements of different periods. Nepali architecture from inside and outside of the Kathmandu Valley, energy efficient buildings and designs of famous architects were showcased at the festival.
Photographs taken by 25 Nepali photographers as well as that of Sagar Chitrakar, a fourth year student from IOE Architecture at Pulchowk Campus, were put up for exhibition. This exhibition was held to showcase the talent of rising amateur photographers.
Technologies developed by the students and also the products related to building construction were displayed at the event.
Nearly 15,000 visitors attended the three-day long exhibition.
Talking about the exhibition, Binod Dangol, President of ASA said, "This exhi bition is a platform for students studyFUTURE ARCHITECTS SHOWCASE TALENT AT ASA EXPO ing architecture in Pulchowk Campus where they can show their creative works."
Ayush Nanda Vaidya, the thesis topper of the batch of 2061 BS, was awarded with a cash prize during the event.
The ASA has been organising this festival every three years.
