KMC refuses permit for building ownership transfer

Kathmandu Metropolitan City ( KMC ) has refused to provide permit for ownership transfer of the houses that were built by flouting building code .

The metropolitan authority stopped the transfer and insurance process of the building saying that the procedure to demolish the buildings built by violating Local Self Governance Act and Building Code.

The KMC has urged the concerned authorities including Insurance Board, land revenue offices of KMC , Department of Urban Development and Building Construction and Nepal Rastra Bank not to initiate the legal procedure for

transfer of land without furnishing the proof of completion of building.
