Nepal Trust (NT) has been working on utilising land acquired as per Trust Act 2007 to generate income so as to make itself self-sustaining.
NT has been consulting legal experts in this regard. It has planned to use 108 ropanis of land in Bhaktapur, 38 ropanis at Tahachal, some plots near Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza and the land it acquired around the NT office at Durbarmarg in Kathmandu, and 26 ropanis of land at Kanti Ishwori premises in Hetauda.
NT has received a draft of the study and will prepare profiles of the land soon. “This will be submitted to the meeting of the management committee,” it said.
