On Sunday, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City announced the new valuation of land in the financial bill for the next fiscal year 2080/81 (2023/ 2024) in Kathmandu Valley. According to the Financial Bill 2080, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has valued the land in Durbar Marg and New Road area as the highest.
The value of the land in Indrachok, Khichhapokhari, Dharahara connected to the main road has been set at Rs 5 million per aana. Similarly, Rs 5 million has been fixed for the lands in Thamel, Kshetrapati, Hanumandhoka, Asan, Bhotahiti, Nachghar, Maitighar, Singha Durbar Westerngate, Putlisadak, Hattisar, Durbar Marg, Baghbazaar.
The land in Anamnagar, Hanumansthan, Thapagaun, Gaushala via Ratopul to Krishna Pauroti have been fixed at Rs. 2.8 million per ana. Land connecting to Mahankal, Jorpati road through Peepalbot of Chabahil Chowk to Gaurighat Chowk has been fixed at Rs. 1.3 million per ana.
Kathmandu Metropolis has assessed land with no road connectivity and classified as "Cha" at 400,000 thousand rupees and land classified as "Ka" without roads at Rs 2 million.
