Nine new cement companies starting next year

About nine cement manufacturing companies are commencing operations by the first half of 2012 with the aim to displace foriegn cement brands from Nepali market which is estimated to be around Rs. 25 billion.

The companies in the pipeline inlcude three in Dang-- Ghorahi Cement Industries based ar Gogli, Sonapur Cement Industries based at Bijauri and Dang Cement industries at Dang -- Eastern Cosmos Cements at biratnagar and Cosmos Cements at Okhaldhunga, among others.Currently 32 cement factories are in operation across the country.
