The third edition of the NLHDA Kantipur Real-Estate Expo 2013 concluded on Sunday, recording a massive 120,000 footfalls.
Organised by Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Association (NLHDA) and Kantipur Publications, the four-day expo had featured 16 realty property developers and various other products and services.
“Before the beginning of this expo , there was lack of confidence in the market. With this, we have become successful in reviving the confidence among the possible buyers to a large extent,” said Om Rajbhandary, coordinator of the expo , adding almost all developers participating at the expo will sell at least 5-10 realty properties each within the next one month. He said most of the visitors spent at least half an hour per stall.
NLHDA Chairman Iccha Raj Tamang said the expo turned to be a crucial event to help revive of the stagnating market. “Over the years, there have been several changes in the government policies. With people developing positive attitude towards this sector, it is certain to bounce back from here,” he said. Tamang added the association will bring in international property developers in next year’s expo .
Kantipur Publications Chief Marketing Officer Mahesh Swar said the main objective of the expo has been accomplished as people have shown interest in the sector. “Our aim was to make the sector vibrant and we have become largely successful in doing so,” said Swar.
